INFORMATION

- Accelerate4KIDS goal is to advance knowledge of computer science, marketing, and entrepreneurship for Detroit youth so they can create opportunities for others in the future.

The D-Hack is a 12-hour hackathon for Detroit and Pontiac public and charter high school students.

Teams of 3-5 will compete to develop an Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) challenge in 12 hours while learning about computer science, marketing, and entrepreneurship through guest speakers and mentorship.

Team will pitch their final project to judges with the top 3 teams placing 1st Place ($1000), 2nd Place ($500) and 3rd Place ($250). Prize money is split among teammates.

Students, teachers or parents can complete and submit the D-Hack registration form. The Parent will be required to submit a consent form before the registration is finalized.

D-Hack will take place Saturday, December 6th, 9am-9pm at the Western International High School, 1500 Scotten Street,, Detroit, 48209. Participation is completely FREE!

Participants at the event will be given breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks and drinks provided throughout the day.

Every participant will get swags and have chances to win raffle prizes throughout the event.
