8th Annual Detroit Hackathon
  • Accelerate4KIDS goal is to advance knowledge of computer science, marketing, and entrepreneurship for Detroit youth so they can create opportunities for others in the future.

  • The D-Hack is a 12-hour hackathon for Detroit and Pontiac public and charter high school students.

  • Teams of 3-5 will compete to develop an Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) challenge in 12 hours while learning about computer science, marketing, and entrepreneurship through guest speakers and mentorship.

  • Team will pitch their final project to judges with the top 3 teams placing 1st Place ($1000), 2nd Place ($500) and 3rd Place ($250). Prize money is split among teammates.

  • Students, teachers or parents can complete and submit the D-Hack registration form. The Parent will be required to submit a consent form before the registration is finalized.

  • D-Hack will take place Saturday, December 6th, 9am-9pm at the Western International High School, 1500 Scotten Street,, Detroit, 48209. Participation is completely FREE! 

  • Participants at the event will be given breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks and drinks provided throughout the day.

  • Every participant will get swags and have chances to win raffle prizes throughout the event.
