About the Event

We are excited to announce the 5th Annual Maker Faire Detroit Hackathon that is hosted by AccelerateKID® and Henry Ford Museum. Kids grades 6-8 will learn about JavaScript programming to design an app and demonstrate their product and business model to judges. They will learn game design using code and entrepreneurship with a lean canvas. In addition, all kids will gain 21st century skills including creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. No coding and game design experience needed. Lunch, snacks, drinks and swags are provided.
