Dates: Every Saturday during 2/17 - 3/23

Times: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Fees: $25.00 per class

3D Printing Makers: Designing 3D models teaches kids the fundamentals of 3-dimensional designs for making 3D prints. AccelerateKID® uses TinkerCAD to introduce 3D modeling and Makerbot for printing. Students will develop an understanding of 3D designs and know how to operate a 3D printer. Students will storyboard, design and develop 3D model projects, learn to troubleshoot and present their final projects. All projects will be printed. They will create their own final project. All AccelerateKID® curriculum are STEAM.org™ Accredited.

Kidpreneur: The Kidpreneur course teaches grade 7th-8th students lessons about entrepreneurship and business for youth. This course will introduce the youth to making an idea into a business using a lean canvas. Students will further develop an understanding of a business model including profit, cost and marketing. Students will create storyboard, design and develop website, learn to pitch and present their final projects.

Roblox eSport Game Design: “Roblox eSport Game Design” course teaches grade 7th-8th students lessons about the eSport industry and how to design a gaming platform using the Roblox Studio application. This course will introduce the students to game design concepts, virtual programming algorithms and Lua syntaxes. Students will further develop an understanding of online gaming design using 3D virtual world and coding including spectator mode, economics concepts, graphical user interfaces (GUI), in-app purchases and other gaming content. Students will storyboard, design and develop multi-player games, learn to debug and present their final projects.

Scratch Game Design: This course teaches students lessons about computer science and block programming language (drag-n-drop) using the MIT Scratch  application. This course will introduce the youth to computer science, programming algorithms  and coding syntaxes. Students will further develop an understanding of coding and Scratch  including variables, sprites, loops, conditional statements and other programming basics.  Students will storyboard, design and develop intermediate games, learn to debug and present  their final projects.
