GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS®
The Michigan Accelerate Computer Science powered by Accelerate4KIDS® is a collaborative group whose mission is to unite communities through computer science education while attempting to set Guinness World Records. Their first attempt to set the record for "The Most Users to Take an Online Computer Programming Lesson Within 12 Hours" was on Friday, December 11, 2020 during National Computer Science Education Week. COMPUTER SCIENCE EDUCATION
With our mission always in mind, we work tirelessly to provide Computer Science and Technology Education to children from all walks of life. We give students a head start in computer programming, robotics, game design and more. We are an official partner of Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Film & Digital Media to encourage Google CS First.
KIDS HACKATHON & EVENTS
Every year, we give hundreds of middle school students an opportunity to participate in a kid Hackathon to experience Computer Science in a fun, engaging and educational environment. Kids learn 21st century skills like creative design, critical thinking, team work, problem solving and public speaking. Our partners have include Girl Scouts of Southeast Michigan, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and The Henry Ford Museum.
QUALITY TECHED™ PROGRAMS
Partnering with the community, we are developing new, unique and quality programs that focus on the whole child: mental, social, physical. Every child learn differently so we mentor and coach them in methods through emotional and educational learning. These programs include Entrepreneurship, Tutoring, and Tennis & Tech™ with the United States Tennis Association of Midwest.
